Its been a while

Wow, I sure do suck. I havent written in this thing for almost 2 months. Lets see what I can conjure up to say...

Ever since I got back from China, its been a crazy whirlwind of activity. Besides being swamped as hell at work, I have been busy with other things as well.

The week after I got home, the boy moved home for 7 weeks or so before he heads off to "defend my freedom" as he likes to tell me. He leaves on monday... 4am... I am sad.

This summer, I also decided to coach a soccer team. Its made up of 10 sixth-eighth grade boys and girls... yep, I said it, boys and girls. Let me start by saying that at this stage in their lives, boys and girls are not always friendly to one another. This is the stage between "boys are gross" and "ooooh.... boys" for the girls, and between "you've got cooties" to "you've got titties" for the boys. Anyways... They are a nice bunch of kids. I pretty much get there and tell them to have fun and thats about it. I dont want to make them not like soccer by being too "coachy" in a recreational soccer league. But, apparently when my sister and my boy coached last week, they did some real coaching... and it actually worked. Sooo, now I will have to be more coach, and less spectator.

Vacation is fun. Last weekend, Derek and I took a drive down to good ole NYC (his first time). It was so good to go back to my school and see my friends again. Its been so long. But, it was also super fun hanging out with him and his posse in the city(they met us up there). We went to a comedy show in the villiage, and we were pretty much the only white people there. This was confirmed when one of the comedians spoke his entire set in spanish.. so yeah, that was fun. It was good overall. The next day, we walked from one end of central park to the other... and it sure as hell was tiring! beh. Later on that night, me, Derek, and Jared wandered around the villiage looking for an open bar (it was sunday nite), but failed miserably. So we just bought some beer and drank it at the hotel. It was great times, great food... a great trip.. mmmmmm... Virgils (bbq place on east 45th... sooo good)

On tuesday night, I took in a concert with poppa Gon, K Gon and Derek. This was Dereks first concert ever... crazy, I know, he is deprived. We went to see John Fogerty and John Mellancamp. It was awesome, but let me say, Fogerty should have been the headliner in my opinon. Either way, we all jammed out to great tunes such as "centerfield" and "jack and diane". Great times, great people.

The air conditioner broke last nite... it was FOT.

I am beginning to realize every day how much I am going to miss him when he leaves...
